Professional Fully Trained Staff

Tile and Slate Roofs

All our staff are fully trained in slating and tiling and regularly carry out reroofing work using natural slate materials.
Contact CK Roofing & Building Ltd in Pembrokeshire for all your tile and slate roofing work. We serve customers throughout South West Wales.
The skills required to lay natural slate differs greatly from those required to lay cement fibre or other man-made slates and many natural slate projects fail simply because the roofers are not experienced in laying natural materials. Unfortunately in some cases the only course of action is to remove the existing slating and start again.
Traditional Slating

Slate Roof Installations

Since CK Roofing & Building Ltd was formed, traditional slating has been the backbone of our business. Although methods and materials have changed over the years we have been able to invest time and training so that all of our tradesman remain fully qualified to work with a wide range of both traditional and modern roofing materials.

Excellent Repairs

Slate Roof Repairs & Replacements

Because of the rising costs of producing natural slate, the use of man-made slate such as cement fibre or reconstituted slate has become more common. Although these types of slates appear to be a cost-effective alternative to their natural counterparts, careful consideration should be made as to their suitability for the property.
Our slate roofing projects include slate roof repair and refurbishment, slating of new build roofs, and slate replacement using man-made and fibre cement slates. Contact us for a FREE quote.

Once the CK Roofing Team gets to work we will:
  • Prepare the roof
  • Lay the first layer of ventilation felt
  • Lay the second, bonded layer of underlay felt
  • Install any gutter drips
  • Lay the top bonded layer of top sheet felt.
  • Install any verge edge, edging to a vertical wall and any flashing
  • The finishing touches
  • Ensure the client is completely satisfied and remove and dispose of all waste in an appropriate manner
